15 Nov #shoda2012
Thanks to the clients who put their trust in the work that I do. It means the freaking world to me that I can document people’s lives for a living and I could never adequately express that with words, hugs, etc. I often struggle to believe in myself, but the feedback I get from you guys keeps me going and helps provide perspective as to why I do what I do. It’s such a privilege to be a part of your lives and I hope the work we create together translates even a fraction of my gratitude.
Thank you to my friends, both old and new. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: I never imagined using a camera would connect me with such incredible people. From the late night dance parties to the interstate adventures, I love that you bring adventure and fun into my life. You guys are the best co-workers I’ve ever had and I always look forward to hanging out with y’all.
Thank you to the people who follow my work. I know I’ve been terrible at blogging this year but for anyone to pay even remote attention to what I’m doing means a lot. If we haven’t met, drop me a line or something because I’d love to get to know you.
Special thanks to the awesome people who shot along side me this year: Kristen Marie, Kip Beelman, Jeff Ambrose, Bryan Laubhan, Louie Abellera, Michael Rowley, Phil Chester, and Amber Zbitnoff. This guys are amazing, follow their work if you’re not already.
Also special thanks to the people who had me out along side them: Matt Allen, Jeff Ambrose, Nirav Patel, Jackie Wonders, Jenny Worhle, and Jaquilyn Shumate. I learn something from everyone and luckily you guys are the best in the game.
Lastly, the biggest of thank you’s goes to my beautiful wife and daughter. My work has come at the sacrifice of spending time with you guys but I know you both fully support me and encourage me to be a better artist, businessman, husband and father. It’s extremely hard being away from you guys for so long, but knowing that I have you to come home to is the best feeling ever. I love you both with all of my heart and am so grateful for the time we do get to spend together.
I don’t know what 2013 has in store for me right now, but if it’s anything like this year, I’m really looking forward to it.
Peace. Happy holidays.
